Friday fitness review 1/10

Can you believe it’s Friday already??? I’m so happy!! I started a strength program through Peloton this week and I’m feeling good! Sore, but the good kind of sore. I have full body strength tonight and I’ll do a cool down ride after. Tomorrow I’ll ride again and Sunday I’ll be taking my 100th ride! Woohoo!! Here’s what my week looked like:

What do your weekly workouts look like? Are you cardio or strength heavy? I love yoga on Sundays to end the weekend and start my week strong.

What’s Up, Wednesday? 11/6

Hey guys!  I haven’t written a What’s up in a few weeks!  We’ve been super busy lately!

I am so super in love with our new dog, Gizmo.  I could just snuggle him ALL THE TIME!  I miss him when we’re apart, just like I do my other two boys. 🙂

Aaron and I hosted a chili cookoff this past weekend at our home.  I made two different chili’s and placed the two lowest.  What’s up with that??  My mom took first place with her Hunka Burnin’ Love chili.  LOL!

Sunday was a lazy day with my mom, Josh and my bestie and lil bestie.  We ate and laid around watching tv.  We never get days like this and it was FABULOUS!!!

Today is my brothers birthday.  Last year he turned 40 and had his second knee replacement the day after.  This year he’s having his thyroid removed tomorrow.  Hopefully next year will be surgery free!  Here’s a real throwback picture of us.  A cracked up Polaroid.

This weekend we have the Run for the Stripes to benefit Neuroendocrine Tumors.  We walked it last year too, but this year we have a whole team!  I’m so excited to raise money for a great cause and spend time with family at the zoo.

Weekly Menu 9/16

We are back from an amazing weekend away and I have to say, I was not ready to come back to work!  We spent the weekend in Cape May, NJ with family, walking around town and bike riding all over the place.  We ate really yummy food (Lobster TWICE!) and I was lucky to not have gained any weight.  We went on a boat ride and saw dolphins swimming right next to us and got to hang out with some awesome new friends and cute kids.  On the home front, Josh made an acapella group and I am SO EXCITED!!!!!  I love seeing my boy on stage and we will totally get to see him in shows and competitions.  This mama is happy, happy, happy!!!

So here’s what Aaron and I are eating this week.  We meal planned on the ride home yesterday and got our groceries before we even went home.

M: Pierogies and sauteed squash, zucchini and mushrooms for meatless Monday.

T:  Turkey Tacos! I love taco tuesdays.

W: Shepherds Pie.  I haven’t made it in a while and it’s always such a yummy dinner.

T: New York Strip steaks.  We haven’t had steak in a while and my low iron is begging for it!

F: Leftovers.  We’ll have plenty after this week’s cooking.  I’m hoping there will be Shepherds pie left!  I may bring it for lunches though!

S:  Wedding!  My friend is getting married and I’m so excited to celebrate her and her new hubby!

S: Family dinner

Breakfasts are eggs and turkey sausage and lunches are chicken salad sandwiches.  I’m obsessed with the sandwiches lately.  I’ve never been a big bread or sandwich eater.

Weekly Menu 9/9

Hello again! This weekend was sooo quick. I was in Washington D.C. for an Arbonne even on Saturday and yesterday we took a nice walk outside, went to brunch, did the grocery shopping and meal prep and I went to my moms and binge watched “Heartland”. Have you seen it??? I love it!!

For breakfasts this week I made sausage and peppers egg bake. It is so good! I’ve been making a version of this every week. The eggs keep me satisfied for quite a bit!

Lunches are turkey and sweet potato chili, that I forgot to take pics of. It’s so good though. Just wish I added a bit more spice! I like a lil heat!

Dinners this week:

Monday: falafel, tzatziki, pita

Tuesday: Hawaiian pork tacos

Wednesday: quinoa veggie burgers

Thursday: I’m out with my girlfriends.

Friday: we’ll be at the beach for a long weekend!

What’s Up, Wednesday? 9/4

What’s up? I’m in the middle of hell week for work and I’m exhausted!!! I’ve been starting my early mornings with exercise to keep me strong and good wholesome foods to keep my body happy. My brain is overloaded. I’m actually getting ready to meditate to hopefully calm my mind and get a restful night sleep. Hope you are having a great week!

Friday Fitness Review 8/30

Another really good week with my bff Peloton. I started power zone training this week and took the ftp test today. My quads are burning!!! With school starting next week and my life turning hectic, I’m hoping to continue my early morning workouts. No, I’m not hoping, I will. Putting that out into the universe. 💪🚴‍♀️

Besides power zone training I did some arm strength and abs. My diet was really on point this week. Now to keep it that way through the holiday weekend and hell week!

What’s Up, Wednesday 8/28

How is it Wednesday again already? I’ll tell you I just can’t keep up. It has been so busy lately. We had a great weekend with a baseball game, girls day out with my mom and having brunch with Josh.

The week before school starts always sucks, but after losing both of my helpers makes it that much worse. I’m drowning!

Even through the stress, I’ve been eating healthy and continuing with my Peloton workouts.

Looking forward to a long weekend and the last bbq of the summer with my fam.

I have a nasty headache tonight, so I’m going to go lay on the couch and watch Hallmark movies when I should be creating in my studio. I’ve really been slacking on morning glory.
